miss Shae

  • Miss Shae was born and raised in Gympie and being a low-income family, unfortunately was never able to learn dance as a child, so in becoming a mother to 4 girls, it was important to her to give them all the opportunity to dance.

They joined the FOD family over 6 years ago and then Miss Shae joined Miss Jamie as a Studio Owner in 2021. Since then, she has used her business and creative skills to grow the studio and is dedicated to continuously enhancing the value of the service offered at FOD and building the beautiful family-like culture we have.

She is currently studying a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Creative Industries.

miss Jamie

  • Miss Jamie began dancing at the age of 4, dancing various styles at various studios as her family moved throughout her childhood, eventually calling Gympie and Focus on Dance home.

She danced with FOD, before becoming a student teacher and then teaching her own classes to then being trusted by previous owner Miss Leaha to take over the reigns as Studio Owner.

Miss Jamie holds a number of dance-related qualifications and is so very close to completing her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science.

Miss Jamie is passionate about sharing the magic of dance with her students, ensuring FOD is a safe and joyful place for all, and making sure each and every student leaves their dance class smiling and looking forward to the next.
